Cinnabar lacquer on metal with gold; with a flat li and flat foot; carved with a continuous landscape scene of a riverside scene with a scholar leaning on the bent trunk of a pine tree growing from a rocky ground on the foreshore, a young serving boy behind him with a large gourd of wine over his shoulders while two further servants are on the foreshore on the other main side one holding a vase with lingzhi, the other walking in front of him and pointing towards a maple or wutong tree with further foliage on the far bank, the ground, water and sky each with a formalized diaper design all beneath a band of formalized clouds, the neck and lip gilt metal
