About
Pavilion is an online gallery that supports a publication promoting the finest art and artefacts from Asia.
OUR GALLERY
Pavilion Gallery offers access to important art and artists from around the world. This season we are showcasing an extensive collection of diasporic ink paintings from Hong Kong and China, as well as an exemplary range of historical snuff bottles aimed at both established and new collectors.
OUR PUBLICATION
The Orchid Pavilion is a journal of art, identity and diaspora, exploring these topics with a particular focus on East and South-east Asian experiences.
It is partnered with the Pavilion Archive, a project that shares with permission documents and texts that we’ve come across in our research.
Pavilion started life in a warehouse in Hong Kong’s Ap Lei Chau and is now based in East London. Co-founders Alex Whittaker and Emma-Lee Moss bring together years of experience in the global creative industries and a shared passion for accessibility in the arts.
