Hedda and Lutz Franz of Hong Kong have spent forty years assembling a spectacular collection of art - snuff bottles, inro, paintings, carpets, scholar’s objects - with connoisseurship and with individual taste. In recent years they have shared their collection through a set of sumptuously produced books, containing photographs, watercolours, provenance, publication and exhibition histories, and notes on points of interest: makers, patrons, places, stories, collectors.
