Iron-red, sepia and black enamel on colourless glaze on porcelain; with a convex lip, flat foot and convex footrim; painted with a continuous scene of Zhong Kui in procession with five tamed demons, two ahead of him holding lanterns announcing his status as a scholar, two carrying his sedan chair, while a fifth holds a drum and has just dropped his drumstick on the ground, all on a black ground, the base and interior glazed.
