Colourless and slightly beige glaze on white porcelain; moulded in relief with a continuous scene of the Eighteen Luohan with various attributes (a pagoda, a staff, a pair of symbols, long eyebrows, a face of Buddha in the chest, a pearl, a crutch, and a fat belly), one holding a ring and riding a tiger, another holding a Buddhist lion, and with a dragon above conjured by another, all set on formalized clouds against a wave-pattern ground, the upper neck with a band of raised dots, the lip and foot rim with a pale beige glaze, and originally gilt
