Colourless glaze on cobalt pigment on beige-white porcelain; with a wide mouth, convex lip, and recessed flat, circular foot surrounded by a convex, circular foot rim; painted in underglaze blue with a continuous design of sixteen boys, some holding lotus and gui flowers, one dressed as a scholar and holding a halberd, one with a hanging musical chime, one playing with a ball, and another with a small hanging lantern, with three bats flying above them; the neck with a band of formalized lingzhi, the foot and interior glazed.
