Cinnabar-red lacquer, bronze and gold; with a flat lip and protruding, flat oval foot; carved with a continuous rocky landscape scene with two scholar’s seated on a grassy, riverside bank chatting, while one points upwards, , their servant approaching with a lingzhi held out towards them in his hand, with various trees, the neck with a band of continuous leiwen (‘thunder pattern’) design, the lip and foot gilt.
