Coconut shell made of two convex, roughly spherical segments joined together, the lip and foot flattened; engraved on one side with the line Qiwei tanxiang tu yi xia奇味曇香吐異霞 (“Rare flavor and thick incense exude an uncommon mist”) in clerical script followed by the signature Xiaoshan zuo小山作 (‘Made by Xiaoshan’), and on the other with an orchid, inscribed Jieren yixiong daren zheng 介人一兄大人正 (‘For the corrections of first elder brother Jieren’), followed by the Shaoshi zuo 少石作 (‘Made by Shaoshi).
