Translucent grayish-green and brownish-green nephrite of pebble material with some yellowish-brown and whitish-beige skin; of compressed, elongated ovoid form with a waisted cylindrical neck, flat lip, and concave, oval foot surrounded by a flat, oval foot rim; carved as a cicada, its legs and underbody shown on one main side, its wings and head on the other, with the neck rising out of its upper body, the wings engraved with archaistic details of ācā scrolls, leiwen (thunder pattern) and a formalized lingzhi head, the eyes a series of concentric circles just below the neck.
