Iron-red and black enamel on colourless glaze on white porcelain; with a wide mouth, convex lip, and recessed flat, elongated-oval foot surrounded by a protruding flat, elongated-oval foot rim; painted with a continuous design of what appears to be a four-clawed dragon flying amidst blossoming peonies, the interior and foot glazed.
