Colourless glaze on white porcelain; with a slightly convex lip, flat foot, and convex foot rim; engraved on one main side with two trees growing from a rocky foreground of a body of water, with a distant sailboat and hilly far bank, and on the other with the text of the Lanting xu (‘Lanting Preface’) by Wang Shizhi, followed by the signature, 鴈賓 Yanbin and one seal of the artist, 周 Zhou.
